Canfield
The object of play is to build up the foundations in suit until each pile
is 13 cards, aces following kings.
Cards may be played to the tableau piles downward in alternating colors.
Rank is circular (Kings may be played on Aces). Cards in a tableau pile
must be moved as a unit. Spaces in the tableau are first filled from the
stock. When the stock is exhausted, spaces may be filled from the hand,
but you are not required to do so. The foundations are filled from the
top card of the hand, stock or tableau piles.
Frog
The object of play is to build up the eight foundations from ace to king
regardless of suit.
The layout consists of a reserve, the hand and 5 wastepiles. The reserve
is 13 cards less the aces which have been placed on the foundations. The
hand cards are turned up one by one and must be played to the foundations
in ascending order or to any of the five wastepiles, without restriction.
However, once played to a wastepile, a card may not be moved except to a
foundation.
Grand Duchess
The object of play is to build the ace foundations from ace up to king,
and king foundations from king down to ace.
Cards will be dealt in groups of five cards, four up and one down. The
top card of each pile is available for play on the foundations. When
the hand is exhausted, the fifth pile will be spread out for you to
`scavenge'. You may play cards to the foundation from all five piles
at this time. You will get three redeals. During the final redeal,
just the four up cards are dealt.
Golf
The object of play is remove all of the tableau cards by playing them to
the foundation. The score is the number of tableau cards remaining after
all possible plays have been made. A perfect score is zero.
The bottom (exposed) card of each tableau pile may be played on the
foundation either up or down regardless of suit. However, sequence of
rank is not circular. Only a two may be played on an ace and nothing may
be played on a king.
Monte Carlo
The object of play is remove all 52 cards in pairs.
Pairs are two cards of the same rank regardless of suit that are adjacent
either horizontally, vertically or diagonally.
After playing off whichever pairs you choose, press C to consolidate the
cards and deal out additional cards.
